THIESS INDONESIA, Planning Manager

We are seeking a world class Civil Planning Manager to support one of the largest Toll Roads projects ever undertaken in the South East Asia Region.

Residentially based in Jakarta and reporting to the Project Director, you will provide leadership and proactive civil planning management for all Toll Roads project planning related issues in relation to $1.3 Billion USD Toll Road project works in Central Java as well as Southern Jakarta.

The scope of your role will include but not be limited to….

* Working proactively with the Construction team to ensure compliance with pre-determined milestones and sequences of construction.

* Forensic planning if / when necessary

* Assisting the Cost Planning Manager to establish time cost targets for Design & Construction

* Advising on time impact of all changes and variations that occur.

* Providing input into Risk and Opportunity management on site.

* Mentor, coach and develop National Staff to a level of competency in the civil planning function that is acceptable to the business

* Ensure constant flow of real live time output data update both for the Toll Roads and our Business Development and Estimating department with regards to future tenders.

* Assist the Project Director with establishing targets for Project Design & Construction

As the successful candidate, we will require of you…

* Degree in a Construction discipline (preferred) or possibly Project Management

* 15 years+ working exposure to construction and/ or Program management

* Cultural sensitivity with an understanding of issues relevant to large scale civil projects within developing countries

* A hands on approach to civil project planning management and a willingness to travel to the project locations in central Java for extended periods as required

* Strong mentoring, team building and team development skills

* Strong communication and negotiation skills

* A demonstrated approach to safety, health and environment planning that reflects the importance that TCI places on these values.
